In 2013, she helped establish Jewish National Fund-USA affiliate MAKOM—Israel’s largest national community-building network, with 250+ groups developing communities and leaders in the Negev and Galilee—and continues to reimagine Israeli society through creativity, activism, and engagement.

Co-CEO, Tozeret Haaretz
Sharon Avis has spent over 25 years working to strengthen Israeli society, from global leadership development to messaging in business and academia. As Co-CEO of Tozeret Haaretz, she leads efforts to build young communities and revitalize Israel’s border regions post-October 7th. She also chairs the Partnerships Committee at MAKOM.
